Beaumont Plantation Retreat is a Eight room plantation retreat at Chellarkovil, a small village located on the outskirts of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary (13 Kilometers), Thekkady. We are situated on a cliff nestled in the unending chain of hills of the Western Ghats with wide views of the Cumbam valley of Tamil Nadu, the most exotic view a resort in Thekkady could have. The views are amazing and the pleasant weather makes it ideal for a beautiful picture perfect holiday spot. The thick natural forest around the resort and the beauty of Aruvikuzhi waterfalls (Chellarkovil Water Falls) will enchant nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. Being a small cardamom plantation we organize interesting Cardamom tours like the one called "Cardamom - From farm to Market"
We ourselves see Beaumont as an activity center based on village life, treks, nature walks, off-road adventure, Biking, spice tours, birding tours and much more than a resort in Thekkady. Our location is our advantage and we are very close to what we call the slow paced village life in the Western Ghats. We fall within the Cardamom Hill Reserve (CHR), a sanctuary reserved for cardamom cultivation, from where the "Best cardamom in the world comes from".
Standard Cottage Rooms
We have a few cottage rooms, Traditional cottage rooms are partial wooden structures which we call the traditional cottage rooms. Another block which is a new block which we call the standard cottage rooms. The rooms quite small and can accommodate only two adults. There is a common balcony with chairs with the view of the valley. Two rooms make one independent cottage.
Valley View Rooms
On the first floor of the main building are two rooms with a common balcony with some panoramic views of the Valley. The balcony is quite large and would be interesting for families who would require an exclusive place to be together. Three people can be accommodated with an extra mattress on floor.
